controlling the adsorption configuration, backbone alignment, and packing behavior of a biomedically important protein of fibrinogen on polymeric surfaces

Research efforts led by Professor Jong-in Hahm (new window), recently published in ACS Nano, 2016, 10 (8), pp 7705–7720 (new window), DOI: provide new insight into controlling the adsorption configuration, backbone alignment, and packing behavior of a biomedically important protein of fibrinogen on polymeric surfaces.  The research endeavors were carried out jointly by the Hahm group (Department of Chemistry, Georgetown Univ.), IBM Research-Almaden, and Huang group (Department of Biology, Georgetown Univ.).
