Prof. Van Keuren’s Visit to Japan and Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM) at Tohoku University in Sendai
Posted in News Story
During his sabbatical, Prof. Van Keuren visited Japan during March and April, working most of that time in the group of Prof. Hidetoshi Oikawa in the Institute of Multidisciplinary Research for Advanced Materials (IMRAM) at Tohoku University in Sendai. While there, he was able to apply the method of controlled evaporative self-assembly to create oriented wires of the organic polymer polydiacetylene. During his visit, he gave talks at both Tohoku University and Yamagata University in Yonezawa. He also saw many cherry blossoms, ate a lot of great seafood, and drank a “little” sake.
